INTERNATIONAL CORAL REEF ACTION NETWORK
ICRAN is an innovative and dynamic network of many of the world's leading coral reef science and conservation organisations. The network consolidates technical and scientific expertise in reef monitoring and management to create strategically linked actions across local, national and global scales. ICRAN is thus the first alliance to respond to conservation needs at the global scale by recognising both traditional and scientific perspectives of coral reef dynamics and respective social dependency. It seeks to put mechanisms in place that support the translation of findings into direct on-the-ground action throughout the world's major coral reef regions.
BARCODE OF LIFE DATA SYSTEMS
The Barcode of Life Data Systems (BOLD) is an online workbench that aids collection, management, analysis, and use of DNA barcodes. It consists of 3 components (MAS, IDS, and ECS) that each address the needs of various groups in the barcoding community.

INTER-AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR GLOBAL CHANGE RESEARCH
The IAI is an intergovernmental organization supported by 19 countries in the Americas dedicated to pursuing the principles of scientific excellence, international cooperation, and the full and open exchange of scientific information to increase the understanding of global change phenomena and their socio-economic implications.
With the recognition for the need to better understand the natural and social processes which drive large scale environmental change, the IAI encourages interactive exchanges between scientists and policy makers. The goal of the IAI is to augment the scientific capacity of the region and to provide information in a useful and timely manner to policy makers. Its primary objective is to encourage research beyond the scope of national programs by advancing comparative and focused studies based on scientific issues important to the region as a whole.

THE WEATHER CHANNEL
The Weather Channel es uno de los "canles online" del tiempo mas importantes del planeta, cuya página cuenta con una version en español. Gracias a su extensa base de datos geográfica, permite identificar las prin cipales cuidades del mundo y detallar su parte meteorológico para los próximos 9 días. En su análisis incluye la temperatura actual, la dirección y velocidad del viento, el punto de creación del agua de rocío, la humedad relativa del aire, la visibilidad y presión atmosférica. Otro de los datos que proporciona es el índice de radiación ultravioleta que se filtra a través de las nubes.
ORGANIZACION METEOROLOGICA MUNDIAL
La Organización Meteorológica Mundial (OMM) es un organismo especializado de las Naciones Unidas. Es su portavoz autorizado acerca del estado y el comportamiento de la atmósfera terrestre, su interacción con los océanos, el clima que produce y la distribución resultante de los recursos hídricos.La OMM cuenta con 188 Estados y Territorios Miembros (desde el 24 de enero de 2007). Su predecesora, la Organización Meteorológica Internacional (OMI), se fundó en 1873. La OMM se creó en 1950 y se convirtió en el organismo especializado de las Naciones Unidas para la meteorología (tiempo y clima), la hidrología operativa y las ciencias geofísicas conexas en 1951.Como el tiempo, el clima y el ciclo del agua no conocen fronteras nacionales, la cooperación internacional a escala mundial es esencial para el desarrollo de la meteorología y la hidrología operativa, así como para recoger los beneficios derivados de su aplicación. La OMM proporciona el marco en el que se desarrolla esta cooperación internacional.

Ante los desafíos que enfrenta hoy día la humanidad para lograr su subsistencia en esta nuestra casa común, el planeta Tierra, que no distingue géneros, razas, culturas, costumbres, ideologías y demás; y bajo la convicción de que lograr un mundo mejor para todos es posible, es que un equipo de periodistas decidió emprender el camino para desarrollar el periodismo especializado y dar a conocer, lo que en términos ambientales ocurre, así como su relación con la humanidad y, de esta forma, explicarlo, entenderlo y atenderlo.
Así es como en enero de 1999 surge una propuesta periodística en la radio mexicana que más tarde se convertiría en Planeta Azul, un programa que, a través de su diaria emisión y a lo largo de una hora, se fijó como objetivo sumarse a los diversos esfuerzos existentes de conciencia por el bienestar de los pueblos y del lugar que todos habitamos

Jóvenes y Conscientes es una asociación no gubernamental constituída para realizar una actividad colectiva de una forma estable y sin ánimo de lucro e independiente . Son un grupo de jóvenes movidos por un fuerte interés hacia una mejora del entorno, decididos a crear medios que impulsen la educación correcta de la ciudadanía, haciendoles conscientes de la gravedad en la que se encuentra el planeta a través de una fuerte campaña de concienciación acerca del cambio climático.
